Significant Incentives have been granted to investors:

  • No restrictions on ownership and profit transfer
  • The Government is extending special investment incentive plans with tax exemptions for a period of up to ten years
  • Improved relations between Erbil and Baghdad have contributed to getting construction crews back to work over the past year, with Erbil’s 120-meter ring road to open to traffic in December 2019, alongside the start of construction on the 150-meter road, a project costing $131 million.
  • Furthermore the regional government in Kurdistan has established strong international relations with GCC countries, which have expressed strong interest in being part of the development and growth of the region.
